In July/August 2016 I was blessed to have the pleasure of being part of a dental team who went to Nghi Thuan Village. A few things that really stood out to me was how a group of people who for some and myself in particular had not known each other that well, but came together and bonded as a team to work tirelessly to treat people who in most cases had serve dental problems.
Even though I spoke no Vietnamese the warmth, kindness and gratitude shown on their face and touch was most rewarding. I felt as though I was making a difference even if it was a small contribution to a great need.
