On Sunday, 6th April 2025, the WA AusViet Charity Team held a fantastic fundraising event at the Bayswater Bunnings store. The much-loved sausage sizzle was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible effort from over 20 volunteers who generously donated their time to make it happen.

It was wonderful to see a mix of both past and new volunteers come together, each contributing their unique energy and passion to the event. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for everyone to meet new people, share experiences, and work together as one unified team. The camaraderie and positivity on display were truly inspiring, and it’s safe to say that everyone had a great time while helping a worthy cause.

The team arrived bright and early at 8 am to set up and ensure everything was in place. By 9 am, we were up and running, serving hotdogs, drinks, and plenty of smiles to our community. We worked tirelessly throughout the day and didn’t finish up until 4 pm, but the hard work paid off.

A huge thank you goes out to Hills Seafood for their generous donation of all the sausages and onions for the event. Their support played a key role in making the day a success. We also want to thank Mr. Chad McPolin for donating the bread rolls and for working hard on the barbecue during the event. Without the support of local businesses and generous people like these, our fundraising efforts wouldn’t be possible.

Throughout the day, we sold over 700 hotdogs and plenty of refreshing drinks, keeping everyone fuelled and happy. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and volunteers, we’re thrilled to report that we made a profit of over $3,000!

This event was such a success, and the atmosphere was so positive that we’re already planning to hold another fundraising sausage sizzle later this year. Stay tuned for more details and get ready to join us for another fun-filled day of community spirit and giving back!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and supported us on the day. Your contributions make all the difference, and we couldn’t do it without you!
